Premium websites for service businesses

Your best clientsjudge you beforethey ever call.

Most established firms lose work they never hear about — to a website that looks smaller than the business behind it. Lodevant rebuilds that first impression.

The cost of an outdated site

It is not a design problem. It is a revenue problem.

A dated website does not simply look old. It quietly changes what people are willing to pay you, and whether they call at all.

01

It undermines trust before you speak

A prospect forms a judgement about your competence in seconds, and they form it on your website. When the site looks neglected, the assumption is that the work might be too.

02

It leaks the leads you already paid for

Referrals, ads and search all end at the same page. If it is slow, unclear on mobile, or buries the way to contact you, the spend that got them there is wasted.

03

It makes you look smaller than your competitors

The firm with the sharper site wins the comparison — regardless of who does better work. Being second-best online is expensive in a high-ticket market.

Selected work

The work is the argument.

A small number of projects each month, built to a standard we would put in front of an awards jury.

The Close Quarter Survival storefront: the "If not I, then who?" story section above the blades, apparel and medical collections
Tactical gear & training2026

Close Quarter Survival

A Shopify store for a technical, high-trust niche, bringing tactical gear and training together.

Tactical equipment is a category where buyers are sceptical by default. The store had to earn trust the way the products do: direct, precise, nothing decorative. Gear, medical supplies and training courses in one place, with a checkout that gets out of the way.

  • Full ecommerce build — catalogue, cart and checkout
  • Dark, disciplined product presentation that matches the brand's tone
  • Training-course offering presented alongside the gear
  • Customer reviews surfaced where the buying decision happens

A completed Shopify storefront with product collections, customer reviews and training information in one place.

The RU3D storefront: a photo-lithophane hero above the shop categories
3D printing & ecommerce2026

RU3D

A South African 3D-printing store selling its own designs, with a custom-print service alongside the range.

RU3D prints and sells its own products. The brief was real photography of real products, a catalogue that is easy to browse on a phone, and a custom-print enquiry path for the jobs that are not on the shelf.

  • Shopify store — catalogue, cart, checkout and local shipping rules
  • Photography of the actual prints, no renders and no stock imagery
  • Custom 3D-printing enquiry route alongside the ready-made range
  • Product naming and image SEO across the whole catalogue

Everyday jewellery & ecommerce2026

Bluma

A Shopify store for an accessible jewellery range — trend-led pieces at prices you buy on a Tuesday.

Bluma sells everyday pieces: sterling silver, stainless steel, in-season designs. The store has to feel light and quick, the way the products do, and it has to be found — so the catalogue was built search-first from the photography up.

  • Shopify catalogue build with payments, shipping and stock
  • Product photography named and captioned for search before a single listing went up
  • Collection structure built around how people actually shop for earrings and necklaces
Mettle Jewellery

Bespoke jewellery2026

Mettle Jewellery

A dark, cinematic one-pager for a designer-led engagement-ring studio.

Bespoke engagement rings are bought once and remembered forever. The site had to carry that weight: unhurried, image-led, with the design process — consultation, stone sourcing, CAD, prototype, final piece — told as a story rather than a list.

  • Editorial single-page build with a type and colour system made for the brand
  • Process section that walks a couple through the commission, step by step
  • Consultation enquiry kept one tap away throughout

What we build

  • Google Business Profile management
  • Reviews requested and answered
  • Monthly local SEO work
  • One new content page a month
  • A monthly performance report

How it runs

You will always know exactly where the project stands.

Premium is punctual. The process below is the same for every client, with review dates set in the calendar before we start.

  1. Days 1–2

    Strategy

A kickoff call and a short form. We agree the goal of every page, the action it drives, and the section map — in writing, before a pixel is drawn.

  2. Days 3–8

    Design

The homepage first, desktop and mobile, designed to the standard we would submit to an awards jury. You review, we refine, then the rest follows the approved direction.

  3. Days 9–16

    Build

Built on the modern stack — fast, responsive, accessible. Lead capture wired up, analytics installed, every page tested on real devices.

  4. Days 17–21

    Launch and care

We handle DNS, launch and handover, and walk you through the site. From there the Care Plan keeps it fast, current and off your desk.

Why Lodevant

A lodestar is the star you steer by.

The name is two halves. Lode — the guiding star, and the vein of value beneath the surface. Vant — vantage, the high ground, the better position.

That is the whole job description. We are not a volume shop shipping templates with a new logo dropped in. We take a small number of clients each month and build each site as if it were the only thing our reputation rests on, because it is.

You work directly with Lodevant's founder on strategy and delivery, with one point of accountability from the first conversation to handover.

What you can hold us to.

  • A fixed price, agreed before we start
  • A named delivery date, held to
  • Clear review dates and response expectations
  • You own everything — code, domain, accounts

Before you ask

The questions that come up every time.

Can we meet in person?

Yes, where it helps. We are based in South Africa, and kickoff and handover can happen face to face. Everything in between runs on calls and shared review links, so distance never slows the project down.

How long does a rebuild take?

A Signature rebuild is three weeks from deposit to launch, and we hold that date. The only thing that moves it is feedback — we ask for responses within 48 hours at each review, and the timeline holds.

Who writes the copy?

We structure it — the headline, the order of the argument, the calls to action — and you approve or adjust the specifics only you can know. You are never handed a blank page.

What if I already have a site I do not hate?

Then a rebuild may not be what you need. Book the site review and we will tell you plainly whether the site is the constraint. If it is not, we will say so.

What happens after launch?

You own everything: the code, the domain, every account. You can keep us on a monthly plan to run the site and grow it, but nothing is locked to us. That is deliberate.

How does payment work?

Fifty percent to book the slot and start, the balance on launch. The price is fixed in the proposal, so the invoice always matches the number you agreed to.
